The Making Of..

The mask is defined as an article normally worn on the face, typically for protection, concealment, performance or amusement (taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/mask). Another definition is any protective covering as paper, cardboard, plastic or the like, used for masking an area or something as of a photograph or windows ( taken from http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mask). Our next studio's project was to model a mask that are made from paper. The ingredients are :

    (a) butter paper

(b) water

(c) white egg

(d) A4 paper

(e) water colour

The basic concept of modeling the mask is LAYER. The paper must be place layer by layer so that we can get a good result. These are the steps while modeling the mask :

(a) firstly, sink the butter paper into the water and place it onto the face.

(b) Next is shape the paper until the whole face was covered.

(c) And then use hairdryer to dry the first layer before continued to the second layer. The steps are repeated until the mask were strong enough to hold and the shape can be seen..

(d) When all the layer had been completed, carefully removed the mask from the face and let the mask dry under the sunlight.

(e) After that, begin colouring the mask with suitable colour. The colour of skin is advisable. Then includes also others like eyebrow and etc.

(f) Take 2 piece of ropes and tide each of the rope at the most corner of the mask. Finally, the mask is ready to wear.

Tadaa..!!
